 The Peacemaker Parent

Dr. Candida Fink, MD Psychiatrist

This technique is based on the soundest principles of child development and learning science.

Dr. Lisa Galynker, PhD, Behavioral Therapist

By following the simple steps in The Peacemaker Parent, parents will find that getting children to do the tasks assigned is not nearly as rewarding and effective as watching them develop the skills needed to be independent and to regulate their own behavior.

Dr. Susan Berenzweig, Psy.D

The Peacemaker Parent places the responsibility with the child while demonstrating your trust and confidence in him. To me, one of the most valuable points you make is that failure in the short term is just an expected part of the learning process. How often people give up and become negative when they perceive themselves (and their child) as having failed.

Juli Auclair Lipof, Host of Parents TV, Meredith Corporation

I was thrilled to have Lorraine as a guest on Parents TV. She offered great advice about how to put an end to the morning chaos and start the day off right through The Morning PeaceMaker Method. Lorraine was wonderful to interview...warm, charismatic, enthusiastic and so knowledgable! She taught us how to to cut out all the craziness from the morning routine and actually have peace! Who knew that was possible? We learned how to break up our morning into blocks of time, remove our voices and set a kitchen timer to help our kids stay on track. I just loved her suggestion of Calendar Pages. I even tried them at home, with my kids, and it has made a huge difference in our morning routine. No more stress, no more chaos and no more constant reminders! Lorraine's wonderful advice and fabulous book, "The Peacemaker Parent," can help you become a better parent and empower your children to become more independent!”

Phenomenal book. A must-have in the libary of every parent!

Lorraine Esposito has done a phenomenal job of turning the day-to-day problems of child rearing into the opportunity for raising children who will be responsible, independent adults.

The book is as practical as it is rooted in sound theory--and its real-life stories and 200+ quotations make it fun to read. As if the book isn't enough, readers are invited to become part of an online community of "peacemaker parents" who offer each other ongoing support.

This book is insightful and thought provoking, and I highly recommend it.

Peace and Parenting are not words I would have thought would go together until I read Lorraine's book.

Only half way through this terrific book I have already experienced some of the results Lorraine promises.

Simple solutions to what I always thought were complex problems. Go figure!
